To encourage those who haven't been to Zakopane yet, we give the following reasons for visiting our town:

  • It is only a two-hour journey by coach/ minibus / taxi from the Cracow Balice airtport. The private transfer from the mentioned airport or your hotel in Cracow can be easily ordered on our website: private transfers to Zakopane

  • Zakopane is an ideal place to practice skiing - there are several ski slopes with ski schools and ski rentals.
  • The town offers many various attractions. In the winter, apart from skiing and snowboarding, the most popular are torchlight sleigh rides, snow scooter rides, dog sledding, ice skating and cross-country skiing. Summer attractions include mountain hiking, quad biking, mountain bike trips, rafting, horse riding and one-day coach trips to many delightful places.   • There are 275 km of marked tourist trails located in the Tatra National Park (the park was established in 1954 and covers an area of 21,197 hectares), with various degrees of difficulty from very easy to extremely difficult ones, fitted with safety equipment, such as chains, iron steps or rope ladders. The various colors, the trails are marked with, don't indicate the degree of difficulty, but they help to identify the individual route in the open area.
