RECOMMENDED WINTER ACTIVITIES:
SNOWMOBILES tours:ONE hour scenic ride through the fields and woods of Gubalowka hills for 300 PLN / 2 persons
THREE hours expedition through the fields and forests, on the way short rest with a meal at the bon fire or in the small restaurant for 600 PLN / 2 persons.
SKI LESSONS and SKI COURSES:Three days ski course with private transfers to different ski slope every day (pick ups from the hotel!). The idea of this course is to teach the group the basic skills of skiing and to show them interesting parts of Zakopane.
Price: 1 - 3 prs / 1.000 PLN; 4 - 6 prs / 1.300 PLN
SLEIGH RIDESsleigh ride in one of the valley of the Tatra National Park is a great fun for adults and children, especially when after the sleigh trip you will join the folk evening with regional food, highlanders' live music and dances. Price: 128 PLN pp including the return transfer from Zakopane, sleigh ride and folk evening.
One Day Trips During winter holidays one day trips are frequently organized from Zakopane. The most popular are: Around Tatras with visiting the Slovak castle and cave; Krakow and Wieliczka Salt Mine and Auschwitz. The Snowmobiling was one of the best experiences of my life! The hotel was great and more than we expected - we enjoyed the pool table, sauna and jacuzzi! - Hello Barbara I would just like to take time to thank you for arranging our transfers and snowboard lessons last week. Everything ran very smoothly and we were very impressed with the amount of snow. Nosal ski school were lovely and very accommodating when I changed from snowboarding to skiing which I found much more enjoyable. - Dear Barbara & Malgorzata we had a WONDERFUL time in Zakopane, thank you. We thought the best thing about the pension and christmas dinner were that they were both part of local Polish traditions that we could experience and enjoy - and they were much better than staying in a boring hotel and also quite different from what we were used to back home in Australia! We loved staying at the beautiful, charming Pension and loved how the interiors were restored and decorated. It was great to arrive to a house with a decorated christmas tree and then to participate in a traditional Polish christmas supper - it was delicious and really enormous! The mini bus was useful, too. We appreciated how friendly both yourself and the pension manager were with us. We also loved Zakopane, the mountains and the National Park. We found that the local people in Krakow and Zakopane were generally very friendly with us tourists.
