Dear Barbara & Malgorzata we had a WONDERFUL time in Zakopane, thank you. We thought the best thing about the pension and Christmas dinner were that they were both part of local Polish traditions that we could experience and enjoy - and they were much better than staying in a boring hotel and also quite different from what we were used to back home in Australia! We loved staying at the beautiful, charming pension and loved how the interiors were restored and decorated. It was great to arrive to a house with a decorated Christmas tree and then to participate in a traditional Polish Christmas supper - it was delicious and really enormous! The mini bus was useful, too. We appreciated how friendly both yourself and the pension manager were with us. We also loved Zakopane, the mountains and the National Park. We found that the local people in Krakow and Zakopane were generally very friendly with us tourists.
