DISCOVER ZAKOPANE

Zakopane is a lovely town situated at the foothills of the majestic Tatra mountains. The unusual location of the town, hidden between a gentle range of Gubałówka and the rocky Tatra summits was a decisive factor in its career as a tourism centre. To encourage those who haven't been to Zakopane yet, we give the following reasons for visiting our town:

Zakopane can boast a highly developed tourist accommodation, including luxury hotels, highland-style cottages, luxury suites, family boarding houses and cheap private lodgings, opened all year round. The facilities have very good standard and affordable prices.
The town offers many various attractions. In the winter, apart from skiing and snowboard, the most popular are torchlight sleigh rides, snow scooter rides, dog sledding, ice skating and cross-country skiing. Summer attractions include mountain hiking, quad biking, mountain bike trips, rafting, horse riding and one-day coach trips to many delightful places.
There are 275 km of marked tourist trails located in the Tatra National Park (the park was established in 1954 and covers an area of 21,197 hectares), with various degrees of difficulty from very easy to extremely difficult ones, fitted with safety equipment, such as chains, iron steps or rope ladders.
Zakopane is an ideal place to practice skiing - there are several ski slopes with skiing schools in the majority of them.
There are many various restaurants (including local taverns where in the evening you can enjoy highland folk bands), bars, pubs as well as several clubs and discos. Additional attraction may be also a theatre or three cinemas situated in the town.

ZAKOPANE:

The charm of Zakopane results from its location at the foot of the Tatra mountains:
